King Kylie for Sinful Colors

I'm on a Kylie Jenner kick lately, so of course I had to get my hands on a few of the King Kylie nail polishes from Sinful Colors.  This is the first of three 20-piece collections that Kylie will be releasing this year.  This collection is Precious Metals and Crown Jewels.  All of the polishes use Sinful's SinfulShine formula with GelTech. SinfulShine polish colors are "Step 1", with the top coat being "Step 2", which is supposed to provide a shiny gel polish appearance.

Although I was tempted, I resisted the urge to purchase all 20 shades.  The entire collection is metallic and sparkly, and right now my current nail preference is for flat colors, so I chose the six that I felt I would use most often.  My color choices were:  Koko Nuts, Slay Grey, Minty Fresh, Karamel, Miss Majesty and Karnival.

This is my first time using the SinfulShine formula.  Right off the bat, I noticed that the polish was on the thicker side.  I assume that this is to help provide the look of gel polish.  The polish was thicker, but it wasn't clumpy.  **Small disclaimer before I get into the application, some of my nails are breaking, so I applied all colors over white gel polish.**  Overall, the application went on smoothly, and I was able to get full coverage with two coats.  I don't have the Step 2 top coat, as my go-to top coat is Seche Vite, and with the Seche Vite, I did get a beautiful shine.

Minty Fresh, Slay Grey, Koko Nuts

Karamel, Miss Majesty, Karnival

My favorite colors out of this collection are Slay Gray and Miss Majesty.  Slay Grey is a pretty slate grey, but it has some gold sparkle to it.  I love the way that the gold enhances the grey color, and I can tell it's gonna be one of my favorites.  Miss Majesty is a lavender-ish pink, but it has an iridescent tone that is very unique.  I also really liked the color Koko Nuts.  I wanted to note that there is another white shade in the collection called Kovet.  The only difference between the two shades is that Koko Nuts has a more gold sparkle tone, and Kovet has a blue sparkle tone. I'll be honest, I'm on a gold kick right now, and also really liked the name, so that was my main reason for choosing one over the other.

Overall, Sinful Colors in general is probably my favorite drug store brand of nail polish, so the nail polishes definitely did not disappoint.  Frankly, I think I would have picked up many of these colors even if they didn't have Kylie's name on them.  At a price point of $2.99, it's easy to pick up a bunch of these without breaking the bank.  These are available now in Wal-Mart stores.
